Tug didn't write a letter to Sandy Paws but if he had I'm sure his sweet, little heart would've asked for peace on earth for all living creatures.
From our family to yours- wishing you a safe holiday season.

Tug's day
Tug's very much a "mama's boy" and is just as lethargic and grumpy on rainy days as Mama gets. Today, he just wanted to be in a lap but we were leaving him for the afternoon to go to a play and then to dinner. We needed him to play and get rid of some energy. He did have a good time playing tug o' war with me and since he spends most of that time on his hind legs it wears him out quickly. At one point, when he just had one front paw against me to balance on his hind legs, I moved the toy over his head and behind him. He just pivoted around on his hind legs and lunged for it. I was so amazed- especially since when we got him his little back legs were so weak he couldn't even walk fast on the slick laminate floor!
His aunt came by in between the play and dinner and he was just as hysterical as the previous visit. The difference is she was wearing nice clothes this time so Tug had to wear his leash so we could keep him from jumping up on her. Right now, his nails are putting little pills and pulls in our clothing...

The LONG weekend is over!
Well, Tug and I were alone for four days while Mama went on her first trip since his arrival. If I coulda found gypsies to sell him to I woulda done it- several times! Actually, he was fine considering all the rain and, therefore, lack of walks to burn off energy. Me, I was a basket case. Really, he did very well and tried hard to be good. He missed Mama, though. If I said her name he'd start looking all over for her.
I took him to work to meet everyone again and they were amazed as to how big he was now. They'd only seen photos since his first week with us- when he was 7 weeks. Now, he's 7 months! When Mama came home she was quite surprised to realize how big he'd grown. Being with him daily she hadn't realized that he doesn't even LOOK like a puppy anymore. When she and my sister came in last night there was much rejoicing and puppy "kisses" and bouncing around; all by Tug since they were tired.
I have figured out that a lot of his gnawing on our hands (as opposed to biting) is really a request for food. He doesn't even check to see if his bowl is full- he just assumes it isn't and you have to walk him in there to prove it. *sigh*
P.S. He still hasn't really looked at the Christmas tree!

Tug's first Christmas Tree
He couldn't care less! geez...Here I was all excited thinking he'd love to look at it and he's totally ignoring it. Okay, okay, we did get just a little one and put it up on a table since he eats enough sticks and leaves on his walks but you think he'd LOOK at it...maybe if we used the flashing lights?
Cross your fingers. We're doing a fund raising calendar at work of peoples' pets and I'm entering two of Tug! It would be kind of fun if he got his picture put in there. The photo below is a few days old and my sister's camera is the bomb! It takes great action shots so one of the calendar entries is a "running Tug" shot. (We're only allowed two- bummer.)

weather report
Cold weather has come and little Bostons don't like temperature extremes so Tug now has a coat! It's a red saddleblanket like horses wear and he's quite striking. It's not really too cold for him but the wind is awful. Since he chews all of the throw rugs we have bare laminate floors. If Tug were a cat he'd jump from furniture piece to furniture piece instead of touching the floor at all. He's learning to be quieter in our laps so he doesn't get put down, too! :)
