cold weather and bipolar terriers

So cold weather brings out the snuggle bunny in our boy. He sleeps a lot! Tug will snuggle down into his blankets after making them into a nest and snooze with his head tucked under an edge. He doesn't just do this in his crate but also in our recliners (barker-loungers) and on his soft dogbeds (piled one on top of the other).

Then, there's the flip side- some days he runs around the house like a lunatic. Just real frisky and giddy. Cool weather brings different smells and, if it's not too cold, he doesn't get overheated so his "play" just keeps escalating with no shut off valve!

New Year's foolishness

Terriers don't like fireworks, as a rule.

Poor thing- had a great night as my aunt had a nearby campsite and being with her is a rare treat. Then the fireworks started. He slept agains the door of the crate so he could see Mama at all times. She tried to reassure him and even move him further back into his crate so he'd be comfortable- he wasn't having any of it!!
