too funny to believe!

Mama was on her hands & knees on the floor to plug her laptop's power cord into the outlet. Now, Mama's not known for getting down on the floor. That's what my sister, our aunt & I do- to play with Tug. So, while she's occupied, he picks up a toy and goes and jumps into the space between her legs. She squeals and he drops his toy between her feet so he turns to pick it up...this puts him with his head between her feet so he's "cheek-to-cheek" with Mama! She lets out a shriek as he tries to pick up his toy and move on because, as he straightens up, his butt pushes up under her butt!! She's yelling at him to "move" and he's looking at me (toy still in his mouth) like "what'd I do?" and his hiney is still firmly pushed up under hers!!!

I swear to you- if I'd gotten it on video we'd win $100,000 for the funniest home video!!!

he's better!!

Tug's been almost normal today- he's eaten, had a little bit to drink and played. *whew*
He's still sleeping a bit more than usual but he'd had a rough weekend...

poor baby

Tuggums is sick. It started sometime Friday but we're not sure if it's because he ate a leaf which had him vomitting moments later or not. He was kind of quiet and slept in my lap all night- a very good thing since I've been home sick and Mama went out to dinner with out of town relatives for a few hours. Today, however, he hasn't eaten or had more than a tablespoon or so of water. He's slept almost the entire night in my lap as Mama was out with our relatives again (I'm still to sick to go). He'd slept much of the day, too. The worst part: he's refusing treats...except for one early this afternoon which he then threw up on my foot when sleeping in my lap.

If he doesn't feel better tomorrow we may have to brave the after hours vet prices and get him some help...if woken up he will lick my face or my fingers and his little tail just wagged when Mama got home...the first normal sign today...

spoiled rotten little boy

Mama had to do some errands and had meetings for a few days this week- more than usual. This meant that Tug was in his crate more than usual during daytime and early evening hours. He was still a good boy, though, so Mama wanted to reward him. She took him to the paw park yesterday planning on spending about an hour- depending on other dogs and their owners (not everyone plays nicely). She felt so guilty, and there were so many nice dogs there, and there was some time when they were alone, and he was happy, and it was nice weather- they ended up spending TWO hours there. Poor Mama was still worn out today but Tug was still a good boy today- how cool is that? A couple of good days in a row!!

Frisky dog

Tug was a bit of a pain in the butt for Mama yesterday. She had to do yard work as part of the landscaping committee and she took him with her and used a tie out. He was full of beans, apparently (the jumping kind). She even took him for a walk afterwards and the little butthead acted up and pulled on the leash and was just a pain. He also didn't get settled when he came in and bounded onto my lap. He did nap some and play pretty well but, as usual, slow & pokey old me didn't realize for quite some time that the pestering behavior was because he was hungry. He'd had his full rations but I guess being outside in the cool weather (in his little red coat) just made him ravenous. Finally, he settled into my lap to sleep in the evening.

My sister found a new coat for him but it's a little too big. No one really cares since it's black and has 'security' in big orange letters on the back. How funny is that? The original weenie, velcro dog??? Actually, he does bark when anyone comes near our door....
