Tug has been pretty good lately (or we're getting better at "re-directing" him during rough spots). The weather was pretty cold lately so we had a sluggish boy. Now it's warmed up again and he's getting fairly active.
I took him to the paw park last Sunday afternoon and for the first time he really tried to lure another dog into playing. He'd do his dance with his butt in the air and bowing down to the ground on his front paws and dashing away. Then the other dog would run a circle around Tug and dash off and then Tug did his dance...it was really cute! They both had a good time. It seems like many of the dogs in the "small" (under 30 lbs.) area are all indoor types like Tug with no yards to play in and for most it's their only off-leash time. I can't imagine what Tug's life would have been like without these parks to go to as the poor boy hates his leash. I guess he never would've known the difference but he so enjoys running along in the park with his nose to the ground and not having to worry about us slowpokes holding him back (literally).
