It rained during our getaway- a lot! Flooded streets and tornadoes (none near us- tornadoes, at least).

Tug did get to see the ocean from the car. It was high tide so there was only about 15 feet worth of beach and we parked a few feet above that by a dune. He was totally immersed in looking out the driver side as that way he could stand on Mama's lap and see much better. The beach, of course, was on the passenger side. We had to roll down the window to entice him over there and he just stood there like he was dazed...he had no idea it was water but the sound and the smell and the noisy gulls were just amazing to him...

We'd found out some neighbors were camping at a state park on our way so we pulled in and met them. Very nice little visit and he likes them and Callie the dauchsaund.

He behaved amazingly well at the B&B! The only barking was when the guests staying upstairs would walk up or down the stairs by our doorway- and I thought that was reasonable. He took velcro to new heights, though, and stuck to us like glue. Unfortunately, due to the excessive rain, there weren't many outings for him. He kept us company for naps- in fact he slept a lot.

Tug saw his first horse- it was pulling a tourist carriage and passed within a few feet of the car. Big, bad Tug bark*bark*BARKED. When we were leaving we got to take him out to a historic fort and take a few photos of him in his red coat (it was chilly and very, very windy). Hopefully, will get one of those on here soon.
