Tug is a very good camper- he tries to be patient and understanding of the nonesense of being tied to a tree all day when there's so many things to sniff and eat lying around. He loves the fresh air and relieving himself outside (he's such a boy). He even enjoys sitting quietly outside at night with the campfire if we'll let him into our laps. He's learned to settle down immediately in his crate inside the tent camper- even for daytime naps if someone stays in there with him. But the one thing that doesn't change is how happy he is to get home: back to his chairs (our recliners), his toys, his bigger crate for sleeping and his 2nd floor screened-in porch. He can be terribly tired but as soon as we turn into our complex he's bouncing around in the back seat waiting to jump out, pee, and run up the stairs into the house.
This weekend he even had a new nonesense to endure: we erected a screen room. over the picnic table and did our food prep and eating in there. If we hadn't opened the flap to toss him food on occasion I think he'd have objected to being left outside the screen room.
Mama said he'd slept most of Monday & Tuesday after the 3 day weekend. He was pretty cuddly today, too.
